Our Response to Mississippi’s Age Assurance Law - Bluesky A new Mississippi law requires us to block full access to Bluesky unless all users complete age checks. We have concerns about this law’s implementation.

With legal challenges to this law pending, we cannot justify building the expensive required infrastructure.

For now, we have made the difficult decision to block access in Mississippi.

Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users.

While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.

#Gaza: Today at 3 a.m., Israeli forces bombed tents of displaced people in Khan Younis as they further expand their operation in the area.

Our colleague Hossni Al Naijar, was among those injured in the attack, while a baby in the tent next to his was killed.

Shrapnel hit Hosni’s back. He was immediately taken to Nasser hospital but the lack of beds meant he had to be moved to the Doctors Without Borders Al Zawaida field hospital in Deir Al Balah for further treatment.

We have had two colleagues injured and one killed in less than a month.

Over the past 24 hours alone, Israeli forces have killed 93 Palestinians and injured 278 more in continued and relentless attacks across the Gaza Strip, according to the Ministry of Health.

Each one of these numbers represents a life cut short, or forced to go through pain, suffering and loss.

This must stop now.
