A look back at how we got here, and why this feels like the best outcome for all involved.

The final scene at Ford Field Sunday featured painted team logos, slowly fading away with each passing minute.
And while this technically wasnβt the end of the 2025 Detroit Lions, it sure felt like it, as they fade from the postseason landscape.

Itβs been a while since the Lions have been here β up against it. But itβs the sort of space they tend to operate best in. Thereβs a comfort in the chaos.

Great read from @coltonpouncy.bsky.social about the Lions and Thanksgiving.
In 2008, the Lions went 0-16. The first year I couldn't fly home for Thanksgiving. I watched them lose, 47-10, alone in a shithole apartment and it was the most normal thing about the day.

Dan Campbell said his offense needed to score touchdowns in the red zone. He said it needed to convert on fourth down.
But is Campbellβs desire to win games with his offense still necessary when his defense has turned a corner?
And is it time to adjust?

Lions OC John Morton has handled himself as well as he reasonably couldβve, after losing his play-calling duties.
His comments suggest heβs ready to do whatever it takes. That should be applauded.
