A chaotic finish, a crushing penalty and the Lions now staring at elimination There were plenty of reasons the Lions lost, from a stunning end-of-half TD, to 230 rushing yards allowed, to costly end-of-game penalties.

The final scene at Ford Field Sunday featured painted team logos, slowly fading away with each passing minute.

And while this technically wasn’t the end of the 2025 Detroit Lions, it sure felt like it, as they fade from the postseason landscape.

Lions face more tough questions after dropping another one to a top NFC team The Lions have played four games against the Rams, Eagles and Packers — and are a combined 0-4 against them.

W-L-W-L-W-L-W-L-W-L

That’s how the last 10 games have played out, for a Lions team that must now win three in a row to make the playoffs.

“We gotta get out of that rut,” Dan Campbell said.

Their season now depends on it.

Backed into a corner, the Lions showed what they’re capable of and took care of business “I’ve said it all along, we can’t worry about the outside noise," Lions coach Dan Campbell said after their Thursday night win over Dallas.

It’s been a while since the Lions have been here — up against it. But it’s the sort of space they tend to operate best in. There’s a comfort in the chaos.

Maybe, just maybe, it’s what was needed.

“Nobody f—ing tells us who we are. We write our own story.”

Great read from @coltonpouncy.bsky.social about the Lions and Thanksgiving.

In 2008, the Lions went 0-16. The first year I couldn't fly home for Thanksgiving. I watched them lose, 47-10, alone in a shithole apartment and it was the most normal thing about the day.

Lions offense stumbles, and maybe it’s time Dan Campbell leaned into his defense "There’s some things I wish I would’ve done differently," Lions coach Dan Campbell said after the Lions' loss Sunday night.

Dan Campbell said his offense needed to score touchdowns in the red zone. He said it needed to convert on fourth down.

But is Campbell’s desire to win games with his offense still necessary when his defense has turned a corner?

And is it time to adjust?
