there was a good point made in the final_v3 episode about it: focusing too much on the actual quality of generated art is not very useful. it's better to make a case to society at large to stop looking at the arts as a venue of commerce and remind people that this stuff is fun when you get into it

I imagine most AI boosters will eventually get bored of generating art if it stops doing numbers, and that's if they can even still run the model on their own hardware when the prices get jacked up after the market crash happens
