Today I came across a beautiful Japanese word — 木漏れ日 (komorebi). I’ve admired that sight so many times, but learning there’s a single word just for it, I was surprised and deeply moved.
This video was taken while I was hiking in Jeju island - the scene completely mesmerized me.

It’s been brought to my attention that it’s World Migratory Bird Day. I can think of no better excuse to share four of my best pictures of the undisputed king of migratory birds - the kuaka (bar-tailed godwit), which boasts the longest non-stop migration on the planet. Alaska-Aotearoa. 🪶🇳🇿

Cool baseball news from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum: the Indianapolis Clowns are coming back in a collab with the Savannah Bananas. The Clowns are the OG baseball jokesters out of which this tradition grew.
