also since the Fruity Sampler uses FL's plugin system, it can take advantage of certain FL-exclusive features like pitch bends, which I can't do with C700

it's a matter of good effects, but yeah to get that sample stretch-y quality the only VST I use is the sampler (except for the EB Kraken of the Sea synth, that would've been a pain to do without a velocity-based bank)

but ofc I love rawdogging stuff, I just don't use sf2, I directly use wave samples only using the Fruity Sampler and Edison lmao that's how I'm doing Danse Macabre lol

yeah lol C700 is also a SPC700 VST, but it's a little bit more unknown because chipsynth sfc is more... polished? I still really like it because you can turn on "relaxed" mode and just play unrestricted from limitations while still using the same emulated hardware just fine github.com/osoumen/C700
