Yesterday, we were 'reunited' with the @Lionesses 1st ever trophy - Pony Home International Trophy

In May 1976 I was made captain, we won 2 games to win this trophy

Aged 20, I had the honour of lifting this trophy. I will confess to a moist eye yesterday

In this year of the #25WEURO's, 12th May 1984 - 41 years ago - the @Lionesses played in the 1st leg of the inaugural Women's EURO Final v. Sweden in Gothenburg

Captaining a brilliant @Lionesses side we lost 1-0 setting up a tense return leg 2 weeks later in London

It was the 57th ever @Lionesses game since the lifting of the ban

Gill Coultard, Hope Powell, Kerry Davis & Janet Turner scored

The pitch was rock hard, frozen in patches, with snow brushed off into piles behind the goal areas

Today marks the 40th anniversary of my 50th appearance for the @Lionesses

I led out them out (my 45th time) v Scotland in the 85/87 EURO's & my 2nd EURO's. We won 4-0 at Deepdale, Preston N.E. & I had the privilege of having my 50th cap presented to me by Sir Tom Finney
