Here's a free disability tip for you:

Take "suffers from" out of your vocabulary, and replace it with "has". Some folks prefer "lives with", but if you don't know someone's preference, "has" is generally a safe and respectful choice.

So: "Jax has cerebral palsy." "Nahlini lives with long COVID".
