Building a Kingdom in the Brain’s Unfashionable District: Brenda Milner’s Century of Neuropsychology There are scales and metrics you use to evaluate the lives of most neuropsychologists, and then there are those you have to invent in order to speak with any degree of justice about people like Brenda...

And an astounding Happy 107th birthday to neuropsychology pioneer Brenda Milner! Her studies of the hippocampus's role in memory and the frontal lobe's role in planning are absolute classics, and we wish her all possible joy on this day!

Head Start turns 60: Alumni reflect on lifelong impact of early learning Three former students share how the preschool program benefited them, and how they’ve stayed connected to Head Start via careers in education.

"As a Head Start student in the 1970s, Blalock loved reading books. She also enjoyed the school day routines of learning, meal time and napping. By the time Blalock was ready for kindergarten, she was reading above her age level."

Over the moon to share that I will be starting my own lab as an Assistant Professor at Stanford GSE this fall, building out the Stanford Center on Early Childhood.

Excited does no justice to what I feel—this is a dream job in the place where most of my community is, and that feels most like home.
