Because one game means fuck all, and the schedule has good teams left on it. He needs to play like he did yesterday through all of them, win or lose. And he also has to show he can throw for yardage. Yesterday gave the faintest, FAINTEST indication he might be able to.

So when they were like “We told JJ to stop worry about his mechanics,” it was a good idea! The guy’s brain was fucking soup from all the shit they put on him! He just needed to feel normal out there, and he did. So my hope is that he stays feeling normal.

The obvious complaint here is WHY DIDN’T THEY DO THIS RIGHT FROM THE FUCKING START? Well it’s because KOC, just like McCarthy, is extremely young on this job. He is still learning how to develop QBs, because he himself has never done it. Plus he’s got personal baggage from being a bust as a player

But that’s hard for me to do because JJ has so much visible ability (arm, mobility, ethic), easily more than any 1R QB they’ve taken since Daunte. And KOC played him exactly the right way against WAS: quick hitters, lotta running plays (esp on short yardage), no atisanal shit
