Astronomers Propose a 50-Meter Submillimeter Telescope AtLAST is the Atacama Large Aperture Submillimeter Telescope. Astronomers hope work can start on this new observatory later this decade.

Marika Lepore led a re-analysis of the central region of the Spiderweb protocluster at z=2.16, combining Chandra X-ray and ALMA SZ data. And we find evidence for a strongly cooling core.
