Perhaps I should do one of those art challenges where you're supposed to create something in under 2 hours.

Supposedly, doing that repeatedly is the fastest way to improve (or so I've heard).

This was a coloring experiment. Rendering characters has always been a weakness of mine. I got this far, but I have no idea how to proceed. Maybe in the future I'll come back to this and either finish it or redo it from scratch.

I drew these faces a while ago, and I've been obsessed with trying to make this my art style.

Small problem: I have NO idea what my mindset was when I drew them, so I'm stuck playing detective to determine how I can reproduce this mentality.

This picture represents my current artistic capabilities. IMO, it isn't bad, but its not good enough. I aspire to grow and become as skilled as the artists I admire. How this journey will go, I have no idea. Nevertheless, I shall endure.

This is an old drawing of an OC. I got stuck at the flat color stage because I couldn't figure out how to render it.

Yet another project I'll have to return to in the future.

I can't count how many hours I've lost scrolling through social media somehow expecting my own skills to magically improve simply because I've discovered more creatives whom I would describe as "masters" of their craft .

It's a humbling experience to draw/create your own works after spending so much time admiring those made by artists you admire, only to realize that your skills leave much to be desired.
