My hair was driving me up the wall so I gave myself a haircut in-between working on Destiny Walker pages at the studio and prepping another Amelia Shadows book for print at the home office.
I'm not going to get rich and famous doing what I'm doing these days, but let me tell you... I am absolutely okay with that. I love what I'm doing right now. And as long as I can keep up with my bills, I couldn't ask for anything more.
I've reached the conclusion that the only thing that can poison your brain more than chasing fame and fortune is actually getting fame and fortune.
Been watching a bunch of documentaries on @shudder.com this week while working on Destiny Walker and I love when people I vaguely know or at least have met suddenly pop up as talking heads.
Today it was both @patrickhwillems.bsky.social and @steveniles.bsky.social on the Horror's Greatest series.
I love Aragno's art on these. So glad there's more!
Is it me or is that a much longer neck scale for a baritone?

There needs to be a class at every art school called "The Horrors 101" and it's just all the stuff you need to know so you can at least plan for it.
I'm always a little surprised to hear they don't talk about that stuff in art school.
This is STUNNING! The style, the backgrounds, the body language! So GOOD!
Paul is one of the only people I get legitimately tongue-tied around. I'm just such a huge fan of his. And he's always been very gracious about me going all fanboy on him.
No matter what kind of books I'm making, and for what audience, I can never quite hide that I'm a lifelong Doctor Who fan.
Not that I have ever tried.

Also, I got really tired of people arguing with me about things that were quantifiably true. It always made me feel like I was losing my mind.
One of the reasons I stopped giving quite so much advice about comics in public is that to be as accurate as possible, you had to throw in so many caveats. We all have such wildly different experiences and paths. And all the caveats get sooooo annoying.
