I'm a dev who did influencer outreach for a couple of projects, and I can guarantee you that is extremely rare for any streamer over 10k subs to cover a no-name indie without any sort of sponsoring

this is usually done through a 3rd party service like keymailer or justinfluencers to save face

what drives me nuts is that most streamers (who both have way more reach and influence than actual journalists, and the vast majority only play games when being paid for it) don't stand a shred of the public scrutiny traditional games media do

that said the movement models feels sharp, enemies die in one hit but are jugglable, which feels satisfying, and level and boss design can be very fun; developer Griptonite did some fun but easy licensed bmupformers for the DS, and this feels very much like overcorrecting

Enemies have fixed behavior of repeating timed attacks, and the parry window is very narrow, which makes it a bit tiring, specially on later levels; also its approach to difficultly feels very early 10's, kinda masocore/"we are allowed to make games hard again" which don't always clicks.

Did you play the 3DS Shinobi? I've been trying my best to give it a fair shake but it failed to click; it anticipates contemporary action games pornographic obsession with parries by a full decade, and also ends up showing the limitations of that.
