I have a love-hate relationship with Reddit.
On one hand, it's a great way to keep informed on current events and pass the time.
On the other hand, it's a great way to accidentally lose your entire day to doomscrolling
Went grocery shopping today and as I was walking past them I noticed Pop Tarts were on sale. Bought a box on a whim. Haven't had Pop Tarts since I was a kid.
Just ate a couple as a snack and ngl made me kinda feel like a kid again lol
I'm not saying you shouldn't categorize or assign labels to people at all. Our brains do that naturally, whether we like it or not.
I'm saying you shouldn't making sweeping generalized statements or assumptions about all of the people within those categories.
We tend to lump people together into groups, but even within those groups there are still huge differences in beliefs, experiences, and values.
Stop painting massive groups of people with one brush. Whether it's members of a fanbase, political parties, professions, or anything else, just because two people share a label of some sort doesn't mean they're identical.
An example, although its authenticity is debated, comes from when King Phillip II of Macedon planned to invade.
He sent the Spartans this message:
"If I bring my army into your land, I will destroy your farms, slay your people, and raze your city."
The Spartans replied with a single word:

Today's snarky lesson of the day: the Laconic phrase. It is a short, concise statement, that is often blunt and/or sarcastic in nature. It is named after Laconia, the home of the ancient city of Sparta, who had a reputation for such statements.
I have recently realized that I have been limiting my snark to Twitter. I'm sorry, I should have been more considerate of Bluesky users. I will endeavor to equally spread my snark amongst multiple platforms in the future.
