Imagine Earth's atmosphere. Now take away the solid Earth, and fill the volume with more atmosphere (keep the water). Take that, and extend it along the Sun's entire orbit. That's basically what a Smoke Ring is. Just remember to throw in some forcefields or an airwall to keep all that air and water nice and close.
