The Democratic Party is directly enabling the war by praising the assassination of Iranian leaders, refusing to condemn the aggression, and approving massive military funding.

It's hard to pin down the feeling, it's as though you have to prove they are human, and not sub-human savages or magical fairies.
In a way that's just the study of history but it feels especially true in this continent.
Talking about Mesoamerican can be frustrating at times because a whole lot of it feels like trying to get across that they did all the normal stuff that was done in the 'old world', as though it was a crazy revelation.
For good or ill it feels like the idiosyncrasies are the baseline.
