I'm not an expert on the region, but the egyptians, nubians and related horn of africa societies are basically the same civilization right? Like, in the way that the Itza, Tzotzil and Yucatecs are all mayan?

This should be the biggest story on the planet today; Netanyahu's regime reportedly shot & killed Paramedics from as little as 1 metre away, some shot "execution-style" from close range!

It's hard to pin down the feeling, it's as though you have to prove they are human, and not sub-human savages or magical fairies.
In a way that's just the study of history but it feels especially true in this continent.
Talking about Mesoamerican can be frustrating at times because a whole lot of it feels like trying to get across that they did all the normal stuff that was done in the 'old world', as though it was a crazy revelation.
For good or ill it feels like the idiosyncrasies are the baseline.
Lots of mixed feelings about the whole Mencho affair rn.

For every side of the political aisle there is this kind of insular and deranged poster perpetually stuck inside an online bubble where only their version of the world has any validity.
It's pretty interesting seeing the liberal version of that here.
Wonder how this played out, must have been a scary moment

Hey guys, I know it's a hard ask but I'd appreciate your support if you're able. I have a lot of great ideas for paintings, from all around the Americas and outside of it, and it would be of great help if you chipped in with even a dollar.
