We are delighted that dr. Fraser Hunter has agreed to be one of our speakers at the #MaartjeDraakSeminars 2025! He is the principal curator of prehistoric and Roman archaeology at the National Museums Scotland with a strong focus on โCeltic Artโ and the impact of the Romans on local populations.

Utrecht university has a record of excellence in Celtic studies going back a hundred years, and we will strive for this excellence for the next hundred years in new ways.
we can develop a beautiful new shape for this together with our colleagues in the English department.
The fact that that this is possible at all, is entirely thanks to the large amount of support we have received nationally and internationally,.. (3/4)
..this means that we will stop to exist as an independent programme from 2030 onwards with a last intake of first-year BA students Celtic in the year '25/26. However, all these reports are based on the successful maintenance of a Celtic expertise at Utrecht University, and we're hopeful.. (2/3)
