The smartest thing I heard about AI this week is that this is a revolution in data, and all of the AI tools are novelty without well structured and accessible data. The Gen AI stuff is Generic AI.

I do actually try to check out new bands but I'm biased by bands in my scene and bands with members I've known forever. The smaller bands I've been pushing are Hell Beach and Sadlands.

I love when someone is stoked on a small band no one has ever heard of releasing new music. Just a "hell yeah dr beebo has new ep" and I know I won't check out dr beebo but I'm happy for everyone involved.

Are there other possibilities for inspiration? Playing an instrument, listening to music, a writing exercise where you can just write and it doesn't have to be good?
