Yes, using it whenever cooking something saucy, eggs, etc., is the way to go. I don't mean to imply it should be used for food or drinking water - both is better!

One warning - you don't need to boil it long to get the benefits. If you boil it too long, it will taste like chewing roofing nails.

A really easy way to improve iron levels is bringing water to a boil with an iron fish every evening, immediately turn it off to cool overnight. In morning, pour the water into your water bottle, add a squeeze of lemon to aid iron absorption and go about your day, drinking your iron!

Treating everyone in a certain county as a racist bigot is no better than being a racist bigot to everyone who looks a certain way. The NC mountains are full of open-minded enclaves of artists and many people who have no tolerance for actions like this. Your suggestion makes enemies of our allies.

Have you read the statement? All it says is that the people being harassed at OTHER local landfills were not involved. The county govn't is rightfully protecting their LF employees, who had no role in the incident. That doesn't mean nothing else is being done by other departments.

Yes, get the people guilty of the racial attack fired. Ruin the business where it happened. Directing anger at unrelated people does none of that.

The statement is directing the appropriately angry public response to the landfill where it occurred and the people involved.

Attacking innocent people who had nothing to do with the racist actions in the video just because they also work at a landfill helps no one.

NM has primarily Democratic leaders and NC is at most purple, with a Democratic Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General & heavily Republican state legislature due to gerrymandering. The area of NC hit hardest by this last storm is 80% Democrats. The "blue state/red state" framing is a fallacy.

Not that it matters, because our government is for all citizens, but NC is a purple state with outrageously gerrymandered districts that create an unnaturally Republican-heavy state legislature while the governor and attorney general, etc. are Democrats. The area hit by this storm votes 80% blue.

I can’t think of any home I, a friend, or a family member has lived in with the design that irks you so much. I looked into it. Turns out you have plenty of options if you want a house with a different laundry location and 15% of buyers see it as a benefit so you can sell yours easily.

A stranger walking through a grocery store actively trying to make eye contact with locals and analyzing their reaction is likely to create awkwardness, even if they mean well. A local walking through will be thinking about shopping, and have more relaxed, natural interactions.

In primaries, yes, people choose from members of their party, or change their registration to independent if they want to vote in a different party primary. But everyone in a precinct gets the same ballot in a general election, with all candidates.

I live here, but I’m originally from the Northeast, so I have other context as well. I’m sure you experienced that as a stranger to the area. After living here for years, I don’t. Either way it doesn’t change the fact that there are many liberal, open areas as well as backwards ones in NC.

In some places, yes. The same can be said for New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Colorado, etc. We can’t dismiss entire states full of hardworking, dedicated allies based on some loudmouth bigots.
