People are weird. Do a poll of KKK members and odds are good most voted Trump... Though you will find some who voted Dem. Same too on the otherside. Someone you'd think ticks all the boxes for being chill... But who loves trump.
I can guarantee some cops will be pro Zohran and some won't follow pol

That's what the Internet should be.
If you want to talk about star trek you have to specifically seek out and register for the star trek space.
No randomers getting your messages served up and replying with hate. Trolls have to put effort in to specifically target a place.

Holy poo. I've got a decade on that and I just barely remember IRC. It was already past it's time when I was a teen. How were you on there?

Tommy Robinson refused to give police phone Pin to protect 'journalistic material' The far-right activist was charged under the Terrorism Act over an incident at the Channel Tunnel in July 2024.

"Prosecutor Jo Morris said that Mr Lennon had used an expletive at officers and had told them that his phone contained information about "vulnerable girls". "

.... You know. I think Steve was telling the truth.

Surely equally true is that some NYPD officers are excited about the prospect of him becoming mayor, some NYPD officers don't care who is mayor, some NYPD officers have never heard of him, etc....

That he's a racist is a valid point worth making. But that he's a massive liar is also a key one to make. Even racists shouldn't like that.

Haven't heard much about the chat for a big tidal generator in the wash for a while. I remember this was meant to do a lot for the environment in the area.

Really curious to see this, and what score they'd give others.

On driving...Germany isn't loads worse. Talking like 85% vs. 82%. But Germany does have a bigger share of passenger km by car than the other 3.
In a way the Germany's higher cycling numbers are evidence for its car centricity- the environment being more designed for cars rather than walking.

13.10.2025 10:44 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

In cycling I admit Germany's numbers are low but much better than I expected.
Needs remembering though cycling is a second best mode of transport- if things are walkable that is better. Italy and Spain do very well here, though its hard to find internationally comparable numbers on walking.

Needs noting up front we're not comparing the top countries here in Italy, Spain, Germany, and France. They're all broadly similar and some way behind Switzerland and NL.

A legit approach.
Works on a brexit is bad cut either way angle and one of "see we could have done a sensible brexit but he insisted on this hard brexit feelings over logic nonsense"

Got some good insights into how people are investing last week with a large number of "omg so much red. The crash is here".
Meanwhile I look at mine and like.... 0.2% up last week.

What study is this?
The only one I can think of found over a quarter of Germans had terrible public transport access.
Better than Britain I would accept as probably true. But France, Italy and Spain.... Again look at the link Germany is clearly some way behind in terms of density.

Yes. This.
And honestly this is where people speaking so glowingly about big bike parking sites gets me.
I get why cities do it, but still, it does reduce one of bikes key advantages.

Yes. Corbyn is definitely a big negative factor in my mind.
But if one is left wing but not a Corbyn fan.... Then why not just vote green?
YP seem to really lack much of a niche of their own.

Both. Get out of the major cities tourists are likely to visit and Germany is a very sprawly car centric country (look on the link urbanity posted).

I think that's the thing with Germany. It has some great cities... But so much of the population lives in nothing towns outside of the cities and their lives are devoted to driving.

Britain's Population Density Problem
YouTube video by Bernicia Britain's Population Density Problem

It's a really fascinating way of looking at things when you zoom down to a urban area level.
As much as they get bad press for copying the US Canadian cities really aren't that bad.
