I love @avaloniaui.net but this GPU memory leak issue really holds me back. The uncompressed bitmap is never released in GPU. My app is crashed after switching some large images: github.com/AvaloniaUI/A...

Tested other fellow Avalonia-based image viewers, they also have the same problem.

Haven't tried your app yet, but it looks promising.
I've been still using a very old program called PixelFormer (www.qualibyte.com/pixelformer) to create/edit ICO files. Basically just import a bunch of PNG files as layers, resize, and then export it as ICO format. Super quick, super easy.

Tried the latest version of @avaloniaui.net v11.2.5 yesterday after a few months, the graphics performance issue seems fixed.
Basically when rendering an large image that fit into the window, resizing the window caused app laggy.

Now I'm happy to continue my test with Avalonia.

It's not my personal code🥲

For working with protein sequence datasets 🧬, I tried a lot of Datatable web components to display them like excel sheet but none of them could fit. I built my own component which I have been using ever since. I wish I could make it open source though.
