When my brother was a toddler and I had to give him a bath I would pile bubbles up on him and he would become Bubble Man, a superhero with bubble powers. I feel like this might be strangely relevant for tonight's episode and I don't know how I feel about that.

Reading Wolf Worm by @tkingfisher.com for my second ever Netgalley book is such a treat. She's one of my very favorite authors, even if she frequently has me throwing my hands up and asking "WHHYYY?!" Hoping the cat is okay, but she's usually kind(ish) to pets in books.

You probably already saw this deal but this is an unbelievable deal on ALL the Tiffany Aching books by Terry Pratchett for just $1.99. If I didn't already have them I'd be all over that.

I finished "Let Him In" by William Friend. Is this book about grief, or a haunting? Everything you think you know unravels as the story goes on. The grief is palpable. It has a happy ending or an extremely dark one and that's depends on what you think about what really happened... #booksky

Amphibia is worth a watch too! I love "kid's" shows that end up having so much heart and plot and emotion to them. Star vs The Forces of Evil was another good one from a similar time frame.

My bathroom is basically a small square. The shower has doors, one is all mirror. It's right across from the medicine cabinet over the sink, also a mirror. The toilet is next to the sink between the two. I already hated being between mirrors, especially at night. YOU MADE IT SO MUCH WORSE.

In my defense
a) You have basically pried open your head and poured in the entire show in like, two months
b) I wasn't home yesterday until late and home alone is perfect podcast binging time
c) Stuff Happens that I wanna yell about.

Yesss! I have a big old illustrated book and the pictures in it scared me so much that I was fascinated by them. I pulled the book down and it's nowhere near as bad as I remember, but it rarely is. I think kid me took the image of the small dog and pictures the larger ones and creeped herself out.

I regret not asking if she knew one of my favorite fairytale that absolutely traumatized me as a kid, The Tinder Box by Hans Christian Anderson. I'm sure she does. But dogs with platter sized eyes gave me nightmares as a kid. I'm both fascinated and horrified to ponder what she could do with them.

Home from Dragon Con and tired but happy. It was so cool to meet @tkingfisher.com and see her on several panels (I had the rainbow hair, busted scooter, and very tall husband). Her "Why Sparrow Sexes are Weird" talk at Nerd Night was so much fun.

Ah, The Bunny Hutch party was tonight. It started forever ago more straightforward Playboy Bunny. Now it's just amazing and frequently hilarious cosplays through that same lens. I think my husband got a pic of the Hei Hei with a Tamatoa that made laugh so hard it hurt.

Is it overly familiar if I frequently wail "Ursula WHY" while reading your books? I mean I love them, but also eaurgh why??!

I am... Afraid of mirror stuff. And about an hour into the audiobook. Oh boy.

I haven't read the Paladin books yet! Just Swordheart. But the horror books are very much okay get the flashlight and maybe some salt let's just get through this. I really love that about them. The characters get freaked out sure, but they tend to know they have to deal with whatever it is.

I think I'll have to wait and check it on DoesTheDogDie.com because I'm interested but I'm also very soft hearted with anything with animals.

I've described your protagonists as "practical" in a very satisfying way. Like, oh no the horrors, okay well we have to deal with it now.

My local bookstore is a tease and has sent me a picture of my preorder ready and waiting for tomorrow!
