Jelly-ear / Wood-ear fungus seems to be having a good season, at least in the south east UK.
This was from a small woodland near Guildford. Couldn't see the wood for the jellies

Fascinated by fungi and lichen. I spend a lot of time exploring and capturing (occasionally foraging) those i find. More mycophile than mycologist π Also cats

Chlorociboria aeruginascens - green elf cup is approximately 2mm tall, seemingly lightly fluffy blue / green cup fungus. When youβre lucky enough to find the fruiting body of the fungus often found on the underside of blue wood. Stained by the fungus. They sometimes contain droplets as pictured here

It caught me off guard. I initially thought Luke was implying we were all overly emotional and sentimental π

This is excellent advice! A lot of people think putting out human hair or pet fur is good but itβs problematic both for chemicals on them and for baby bird feet tangling. Jute/feathers/plant materials/sticks/leaves all good to leave out for them. β€οΈ π¦ββ¬πͺΊ

I've found these in abundance recently, which is appreciated as they're one of the prettier Winter mushrooms.

I took 6 Amazonian wasp stings to the torso to get this shot!! Honestly, it was so worth it - look at these gorgeous gills!! The sting right by my spinal cord I could still feel throbbing for months afterward... all in the name of mushroom photography!!
