Good news was it’s only 2 miles or better mathed, 5 more churches, down the road from where I was. Oh the south. 🤣

I forgot to update my GPS from the generic town name to the actual location of my Harvest Host, which led for a very hilarious. “Wait which church am I staying at moment?”

Louisiana highway patrol vehicles are sneaky as fuck. They just look like regular old white SUVs except for a very tiny logo on the side.

Dear Illinois: Has anyone explained why smoking while pumping gas is a BAD thing?! Wtf y’all. At least Zoolander was incredibly hot.

It’s been a year since we hit the road. It feels like it’s gone by in the blink of an eye but I’ve had so many amazing adventures along the way. This is just a tiny peek at what and where I’ve been. It’s always an adventure and I can’t wait for what comes next.

When it came to moving into Addie I chose adventure over “insta” worthy, functional now over finished details. That’s not the right pick for everyone but I’ve meet a lot more nomads in similar builds and I don’t think it gets enough screen time. So here’s a messy mid project pic for you.

Scars are permanent, but the roads won’t be.

These’d mostly be temporary logging roads or perhaps, in some cases, permitted access roads for wealthy people, like that rich jerk, helicopter harasser dude (Boren) who want a road to their house across a formerly roadless area.

Adding to the list of creatures who are uninvited yet welcome themselves into the bus: this bee (wasp??) it has taken a liking to a screw hole in the lift.

Every time I’ve fixed something on Addie (even if I broke it in the first place) I have such a strong sense of pride and independence. Creativity, research skills, and sheer stubbornness.

I don’t know how many times I’ve thought “well that didn’t sound great but it didn’t sound broken. I’ll figure that out later” lol

It always takes longer than expected.

I made myself a list of things I had to have to be functional and when I hit that I hit the road. Now almost a year later and I haven’t regretted launching before it was “done”

The U.S. Senate is currently considering a budget reconciliation bill that quietly includes language that could devastate our public lands. It would:
- Make over 250 million acres of public land eligible for sale
- Mandate the sale of at least 2 million acres of Forest Service and BLM land

If someone knows how I can lodge a formal complaint with uber please dm me and share this to raise awareness of our rights.

Beyond your absolute disregard for my rights you put me and my dog in danger by swerving towards us to yell out your window that you don’t take pets. I said he is a service dog and you yelled “doesn’t matter”. I hate to tell you it absolutely does.
