This has been my lived reality for 32 years in this one room. Severe #ME. No treatment because there has been no serious research funding. The psych/behavioural lobby make sure of this despite ample proof of physiological damage. How many more generations will live in dark rooms alone and ignored?

A lot of them have relied on press releases from the Science Media Centre, one of the founders being our old friend Simon Wessely. He is determined to keep ME within the psychological realm, possibly to please the insurance companies, so he drops in as he did on Newsweek today.

1) The DecodeME study compared DNA of ca. 15,000 ME/CFS patients and 250,000 controls and found significant differences in 8 regions of our genome.

Remaining silent is the choice so many make. Anything for a quiet life etc.It’s hard to know how to engage people so that transformation happens because of a critical mass. It’s the only way.

Read her words. Isla was already suffering age 8 at the hand of the UK health care systems.

Last year, she died from ME, despite her parents best efforts to protect her from this system.

I long for a day when there is a department of medicine into which we fit. At the moment #ME is homeless, no speciality fits us and there are no specialist Drs in the NHS thus we are pushed around a medical establishment where no one really wants us nor understands us.

It's performative. If Steve Reed were really "furious" about water bills, he wouldn't have ruled out renationalisation, or forbidden the Independent Water Commission to recommend it. He enables the filthiest, most parasitic capital to defeat the public interest.
