A real anxiety at #NCASC24 not relieved by a ministerial speech with many numbers which didnβt convince people in the hall that they added up. No sugar coating that govt decisions to date will make life harder for people who draw on social care. Time to offer some light at the end of the tunnel

A lovely moment at #NCASC24 yesterday. In a session on βmanaging demandβ Anna Severwright challenged the term. A mutually respectful & productive conversation with speakers led to some clear commitments to find better language exploring the win-win of better lives & sustainable public services.
