35- Hollow Knight Silksong
An improvement on Hollow Knight in just about every way, still coming with all the pros and cons of a metroidvania. I wish they did more with the boss designs in some regards, and the quests were pretty nothing. Still a great time through and through.

I forgot to post about this i actually beat it like 3 weeks ago or something idk. that tells you about everything you need to know about my thoughts. It was fun. but kinda buggy, I clipped through the world a lot.

32- Indigo Park (Chapter 1)
I fucking love Rambley. I can't wait to see where this game goes. It's short and sweet, and had me hooked for the long haul.

My heart aches with a pain I've never felt, and hope to never truly feel. I count myself as one of the lucky few to have never lost someone close to me. Short, sweet, and to the point, When the Past Was Around is as lovely as it is heartbreaking.

30- Deltarune Chapters 1-4
Coming from someone who didn't really care for Undertale, Deltarune has been an absolute joy through and through. I am captivated by everything it has done so far. It made me sob. I cannot wait for the next chapter. Replaying it rn.

It’s like a museum in every way, some parts are really cool, and some are boring as hell. Also, why are 90% of the minigames mouse controlled? It’s kinda weird. Obligatory “should’ve been a pack in”.

27- 7 Days to End With You
An interesting narrative puzzle game that starts off captivating, but oddly, once everything clicks, and you know how to decode words, it start to fall apart. A lot of words can be learned by context, but some require actual decoding, which can get rather tedious.

26- Night Loops
A fun and short little horror-lite game about the self. It's simple, and seems to take a lot from JRPG-Horror games like Ib, and I'm all here for it. Night Loops is a little clunky in the movement and menu navigation, but it's extremely easy to overlook.

25- Buddy Simulator 1984
A really captivating light-horror game with a surprising amount of comedy. I used to think that I wasn't bit on meta-narratives, but I think I've found that I just don't like extremely predictable meta-narratives. Buddy Simulator took me for a ride. I like my buddy :)

An extremely short little visual novel that was surprisingly engaging. I hope to see this story expanded upon in some way. Though the Steam page did say it was short, it felt like it ended before it even started. I loved what was here, and would LOVE to see more.

21- Minishoot Adventures
A cute little Zelda-inspired twinstick bullet hell shooter thing (lots of buzzwords). I picked up after hearing Kit on @kitandkrysta.bsky.social sing it's praises, and it was definitely worth it, I had an absolute blast through and through, a nice underrated gem from 2024!
