It’s actually really wild how quickly I’ve taken to it, considering the uphill battle I’ve had dropping to prerecorded files. It’s eatling a lot of my free time, but good god, shutting my brain off for a couple of hours is bliss.

Hypnosis is such a strange experience. Recordings or files off the internet are great, but they pale to a person who can both guide you down, as well as react to your responses. Particularly surreal is when, with a simple command, you’re frozen in place, or rendered mute.

We are looking to have an in person session sometime either the first or second weekend of March. He’ll have a motel room and me for a Saturday into Sunday. I’ll need to take a day off to do it, but since I didn’t take more time off for my birthday, this is going to be a late present for myself.

He’s very complementary, frequently tells me I’m handsome, or phrasing it as a “you know that” style question. Ironically, that’s more of a struggle than calling him sir ever has been; I don’t deal with complements well after years of, well, everything a lot of queers my age have went through.

So, last Tuesday I started speaking with a not quite local hypnotist (~2-3 hour drive). What started as a 30 min. FaceTime convo, turned into 3.5 hours of dropping me in and out of headspace.
