Solve was born out of RCA by parents Nicola & Claire. Delighted to be part of the award winning charity, now making waves across London.

All the joys of #activetravel here 🌱

We want other schools to have what we have, and to pass on the knowledge and information we have built up over the last 6 yrs.

So we more bringing this account into the SOLVE family, so we can help to show parents across London what safe & joyful school runs look like!

And we have one of the largest school streets in London (probably) and we have learnt A LOT about the school run.

So much so that many of us on here through this work, formed a parent- led charity @solveschoolrun.bsky.social

News! Rosendale Clean Air & Safe Routes was set up 6 years ago by parents, concerned about road danger and air pollution around our kids school.

We started campaigning for a little known measure called a “school streets”

Cut to 2025…..

And the same road with the school street in place. 🌞

A reminder of the daily barrage of motor vehicles that children faced arriving at one of Lambeth's largest primary schools and next door Turney SEND school *before* the Rosendale and Turney School Street. Totalling around 1000 kids.

6 happy individuals cycling on a London road in Winter, on a variety of non-standard cycles.

15 individuals or so stopped for a pit-stop at Dulwich Park on a wide variety of non-standard cycles. There are handcycles, trikes, side-by-side tandems in manual and electric formats!

15 enthusiastic cyclists ready to leave Herne Hill Velodrome for their led ride to Dulwich Park. A wide variety of non-standard cycles are in shot, including handcycles, recumbent trikes, side-by-side tandems, cargo bikes, and others.

We were delighted to take @lb-southwark.bsky.social Cllrs James McAsh, Margy Newens, Sabina Emmanuel on a led #InclusiveCycling ride on Tues, from @hernehillvelodrome.bsky.social to Dulwich Park. Grateful for their openness to trying, and changing perspectives - and for our wonderful volunteers!

Turney Rd from opposite ends at school run time. The only difference is the presence of a parking warden.

Good to see parking enforcement on Turney Rd this week 🚸.

A handful of parents parking illegally makes access to Turney SEND school car park difficult.
