Ah, Yeah if that's the case, then that's very understandable.

I really can't complain with 18 years of solid service from this intrument. I did do minor repairs along the way and of course kept it in tune.

Yes! Please keep that 1935 upright going. : }
Those are priceless.

Yes!!!

This piano was my grandparents and they purchased it before I was born. I've been pressing keys on this instrument for near four decades. : P

Thanks Marco. : }

I'll post pictures of what it looks like afterwards.
The last time I took this piano completely apart was 18 years ago!

Piano being restored and rebuilt with action removed Close up of part of the piano action wide photo shot of piano hammers and mutes

My trusty old piano has seen a lot. It's time for a deep clean and restoration.

This instrument originally was my grandmother's and four generations of little hands have pressed keys on it.

That's awesome, those old wollensak's are work horses that never die. Or at least they make good boat anchors. : }

More then happy to share!

I've used that method to make straight/round flutes and wooden tubes as long as 6' foot.

Hey EJ! : }
So the way I make those type of flutes is by using two different hole saws.

I cut out 2" rounds from a 3/4" thick board. (Pine, Maple, etc)

I then use a smaller ~1" inch holesaw to cut the insides out, making rings. The segments get glued together to make long straight tubes.

I'm used to seeing the ground tap in the middle.

But doesn't really make much of a difference other then invert the output phase I guess.
