TAPPER: They're asking for voter roll information after the death of Alex Pretti. What was it like to see that letter?

SIMON: It was really deeply disturbing. Literally hours after the second killing of a citizen in Minneapolis by ICE agents, there's this ransom note

Bondi’s ‘blackmail’ letter to Minnesota deepens concerns over DOJ’s voter roll motives, federal judge says The judge reiterated the DOJ's case against Oregon will be dismissed entirely.

🚨BREAKING: A federal judge in Oregon said Attorney General Pam Bondi’s recent letter to Minnesota reinforced unease about how the Justice Department is wielding its authority in its nationwide push for state voter rolls, suggesting the administration’s campaign may be driven by improper motives.

NEW: The Atlantic reports Greg Bovino has been REMOVED from his role as Border Patrol “Commander at Large” and will return to his former job in El Centro, California, where he is expected to retire soon.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and “adviser” Corey Lewandowski are at risk of losing their jobs.

This isn't about "training issues." The murderer who executed Renee Good has been with ICE for 10 years, and according to DHS, the murderer who executed Alex Pretti has been there for 8 years.

These aren't "new recruits," or officers that can be "retrained." ICE can't be reformed. Abolish ICE.

A drawing of Alex Pretti carrying an old person wrapped in an American flag. He is saying - ‘Don’t worry. I’ve got you.’

If this doesn’t tug at your heart, make you well up with sadness, you are not human.

ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives.

We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.

Wow. Per @priscialva, DHS has suspended Gregory Bovino’s access to his social media accounts effective immediately. He spent yesterday responding to people who were criticizing him and raising questions about his unverified claims about Pretti.

Bovino is just the patsy - a noxious and odious fall guy. Stephen Miller is the architect and prime mover of the whole thing. Everything they do is at his direction - often after his threats. As long as he runs policy in the WH, nothing will change no matter how many Bovinos come and go.

Ed Markey nails it. You can do two things right now:

1) Tell Congress to defund ICE here: https://bit.ly/45xxduq

2) Tell Congress to impeach DHS Secretary Kristi Noem here: https://bit.ly/3ZkypO4

These are not rogue agents. This is an all out assault on American life. ICE is a criminal organization that is entering homes without judicial warrants, detaining witnesses, and killing people.
All at the direction of Trump. We must stop funding DHS. There is no other path forward.

I’m sorry for posting a screenshot from there, but he’s my senator, and this statement at least manages to be germane

In a screengrab from a video, Alex Jeffrey Pretti is seen holding a phone as agents approach him. A headline reads: "How Federal Agents Shot And Killed Alex Jeffrey Pretti, Moment by Moment." Credit: dangjessie, via Instagram

Videos verified by The New York Times show the man federal agents shot and killed in Minneapolis on Saturday was holding a phone, not a gun, before the agents took him to the ground and shot him. At least 10 shots appear to have been fired within five seconds. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
