✨Medical Education SFP Secured✨
Absolutely thrilled to share that after a long application and interview process, I’ve been selected for one of just five ring-fenced Specialised Foundation Programme jobs by the Birmingham Medical School.👨🎓
Looking forward to the opportunities the SFP offers! 🩺
Coming back from a little social media break to share this exciting opportunity we’re offering at @gladduk.bsky.social for early career doctors and dentists as well as students this year!
Explore your creativity and maybe even win a cash prize 🤩 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
After unfortunately missing the press night due to illness, I’m very grateful to The RSC for fitting me in to review ‘The Constant Wife’ tonight! ✨
Review to come on @allthatdazzles.bsky.social 🎭
Very proud to find out that I’ve been awarded the Roper-Hall Ophthalmology Prize this year at my medical school!
Loved attending the @gladduk.bsky.social Annual Dinner and AGM earlier this month - a fab evening celebrating 30 years of GLADD. It was an honour to present the David Harvey Award to @drjohartland.bsky.social ✨🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Very pleased to have been re-elected as Co-Chair for another year!
Celebrating my birthday at the Regents Park Open Air Theatre to see what I hear is an a-maize-ing musical… it’s time for ‘Shucked’! 🌽🎭
Happy 23rd birthslay to me 💅🎂🎈
Thanks to the @nationaltheatre.org.uk ‘s £10 16-25s ticket scheme for making this theatre visit possible 🫶

A real pleasure to have co-presented a talking poster today at #ASGBI2025!
That’s one step closer to becoming a doctor out the way…

Back at the theatre tonight for The RSC’s new season, beginning with a footy-themed ‘Much Ado About Nothing’!
Kick-off’s at 7.00, hoping this one scores a screamer or two! (did i get the foot-ball references right?)

Spent the last month off social media to focus on my exams.
It was utterly blissful, to be honest. No TERF bigotry in my replies. No constant spew of hate everywhere.
Quite tempted to do it again…
Time for another press night - this time it’s to see The RSC’s ‘Edward II’!
Review to come on @allthatdazzles.bsky.social 🎭
Being locked in a train carriage on the platform with alarms incessantly going off is not how I wanted to start this morning…
Shakespeare goes nautical in the RSC’s new production of ‘Hamlet’. With an immaculately assembled cast, tremendous creative risks are taken with massive payoffs in this titanic, utterly triumphant production.

Back in blues for surgical rotations 🔵
Not yet, but maybe in the future… 👀
There was an opportunity to present creative reflections on our experiences - I delivered a spoken word poem about ADHD as my entry
As I reach the end of my psychiatry rotation that I’ve been on these past few weeks, I’m feeling very proud to have been awarded an end-of-rotation commendation, as well as the creativity in psychiatry prize!
On to surgery and anaesthetics next… I’m very excited!
My first press night of the year tonight at the Birmingham Hippodrome for Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake 🩰 ✨

Today is the start of LGBTQ+ History Month. #LGBTplusHM25
Far too many LGBTQ+ doctors and medical students still face discrimination. As your trade union, we are here to support you. THREAD
It’s 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ History Month.
So reflecting on the terrible history of So-Called ‘Conversion Therapy’, I’m hoping we’ll see more Medical Schools over the next year work on making the future of medicine safer for 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ people.
Very few med schools left now on the GLADD Charter… 👀
Wonderful news as North Wales Medical School at Bangor University joins the @gladduk.bsky.social Charter on So-Called LGBTQ+ ‘Conversion Therapy’ - so proud to see our project continue to flourish so successfully 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

Had a lovely morning at Aston Medical School, representing @gladduk.bsky.social, to deliver a lecture to their bright first-year students about LGBTQ+ Health and how to be an inclusive doctor 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Quick question: why is a British ‘queer theatre’ programming a play starring a performer who expresses anti-trans sentiments??
You’re either here for the LGBTQ+ community or you’re not. And let me tell you now, you’re not.
