It would be nice, I suppose, to have rules against this sort of thing, but there are lots of rules in the laws of war and many of them are being violated right now with no consequences. So why would we think the US or Russia or Israel or anyone else would abide by them?

I don’t disagree, the point is that the average diaspora Jew is LESS to blame for Israeli policy than the average American, even a strongly anti-Trump one. Yet there are so-called “leftist” anti-Trump Americans who think the opposite.

History is filled with leaders who act on emotion, impulse, or whim and in so doing fatally undermine the long-term future of their countries. Trump & Netanyahu are just the latest in a long line.
Some use the opportunity to conflate the “Israeli government “ and “Jews” to support Israeli policy, others use it to promote antisemitism. Many choose not to see the distinction. Personally, I don’t especially enjoy the linkage of “American“ and “US government policy,” but here we are.
I was ready for that in 2010 but, unfortunately, the gentry (America’s car dealers etc.) revolted against any help for the peasants. This is known as the Tea Party.
They don’t even need to trust us, just ask for explanations and listen to them with an open mind. It would also help for an administrator to occasionally have one’s back, but now I’m living in fantasyland.

His book “Debt” got a number of basic facts wrong. So in response he dispensed with facts entirely in “Bullshit Jobs.”

It’s about his judgement in addition to whatever his beliefs are. If you don’t have the judgement to not get the tattoo, or to remove it and/or apologize when you run for office or realize what it represents, how can anyone trust his judgment when he is called upon to take an important vote?
