My muntjac girl. I'm still deciding on a colour palette for her.

Yeah! I think the option 1 would be too much with the skirt I intend on giving her, so I decided to go with the option 2. Thank you for your input!

I referenced a 3D model available on CSP for the pose, several real photos of Muntjac deer to get her head shape and face features right (such as glands, for example). I also referenced the photos below, the last one being my own (thank you to my sister for helping me come up with the outfit design)

Got in the mood to draw a pretty lady. Dunno who she is. She might come back, I kinda like her.

They’re very old drawings, so I don’t know if I used references or not. I didn’t even remember they existed.*. rephrasing it because I genuinely sounds like a bot who can't type sometimes lmfao

If there were references, I don't know. They are old drawings. I didn't even remember they existed.

Taking a break to study character design (and art methods overall tbh) while browsing through old drawings

Another artistic approach to relax myself from clean lines and architecture. Do you recognize the character?😉

The full-length timelapse file was too large to post here, so I reduced it to 60 seconds.
For the chain around the neck, I used a chain brush and then traced it to get the effect from the brush that I like and use the most.

It's nothing too special, but I wanted to thank everyone for the tremendous support I've received over the last few days. It means a lot to me.

Soon, when I have nothing else pending, I'll do something better.

I found the creator of the original horned creatures piece, goyagoat on X/Twitter. :)

By the way, I mean the threads under this post, not below the post itself. I'm dense.

For anyone curious about my awful workflow: before accusing me, please read the threads below, as I’ve already provided context. If you don’t feel like doing that, feel free to ask questions. I’ll explain again, as many times as necessary.

Thank you very much, and I will definitely take the time to apply your advice. Even before I switched to digital, I hadn't drawn traditionally for quite some time.

I also want to thank everyone else who gave me the benefit of the doubt and took the time to read what I had to say.

I'll cut back because I end up obsessed with getting every detail right, even the smallest ones, which only makes it take me longer and makes drawing seem torturous to me, but at this point I'm just repeating myself, I'm a professional yapper. That being said,+

My lack of line confidence stems precisely from feeling insecure and trying to get proportions and line construction right from the start. But I no longer want to be a hostage to references, which, although references in themselves aren't a bad thing and I will keep using them+

I'm just throwing in more examples here because I cherish my own journey, but they aren't my creation either and were drawn after high school. I don't remember who the originals came from either, but if necessary I'll try to find out.

The first drawing, I believe the original is by Ilya Kuvshinov, for the second drawing, I'm sorry but I don't remember or never knew who the artist who created the original piece was, and the third I'm sure was by the late artist Qing Han (Qinni). I absolutely love her work to this day.

Those are great pieces of advice, Jake. Thank you. I used to follow some of them back in high school, when I would sometimes draw directly in my notebook with a regular ballpoint pen. At some point, though, I lost my way and started feeling like I had to get it right on the first try.

So I'm 100% with you and I'm glad that you and Xenderman took time out of your days to question. And if any of you see me messing up again, feel free to call me out again, that's the only way I can learn
