Anyone out there in Bluesky know why - or have any theories - why @ineos-grenadiers.bsky.social are the last to announce their TdF roster... we're still waiting!

Either way, it was a great day's racing as a spectator, watching it all unfold on the TV.....especially this one who managed to not see ANY of the famous 2018 stage! πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

EF set it up well to isolate del Toro, and Carapaz really tried to break him. When it came to the psychological stuff, maybe EF underestimated that UAE might be happy with the white jersey, and a fantastic run in pink for a 21 year old in his first GT? Especially when isolated? πŸ€”

Thoughts on today?
My gut instinct is that Simon will mark Derek to maintain his podium place, over trying to attack.

I would happily join @nedboulting.bsky.social on the side of the road in 2026, if he's spectating.
Though I hope he gets a gig...he's come a long way since his first yellow jumper! πŸ˜‰

I like "post Rowe era" because there was a Rowe era. Injury forcing earlier than expected retirement. It was an era of loyalty, of earning and commanding respect within the team, and on the road as THE Road Captain. Burying himself for his team leader.

There was no Pidcock era on the road. End of.

Under-rated rider, IMHO.

Always look forward to EF's Giro kit! πŸ˜„

I wasn't aware of the new rule, thanks for highlighting. I think the TdF maillot Γ  pois is pretty safe though!

The first jersey of the new season has landed – Cofidis reveal new multi-coloured racing kit for 2025 French team work with Etxeondo after swapping to Campagnolo components

On that case, are Cofidis not riding la Vuelta then? πŸ€”
Or will they wear this kit in France, and swap the sleeve & body colours for Spain? πŸ˜‰
If so, that's smart thinking!

My recollection of what INEOS said when he joined the team was that they would support his MTB ambitions, and after two years he would switch to road.

Do many countries show condensed highlights?
If done right, this can be a good informative way in.
A bit like an executive summary is expected to highlight the important points of a 300 page dossier!

You're so right!
Leader wearing n1, team mates thereafter in alphabetical order n2-n6/7 depending on size of team. Unless the team has multiple leaders!
You end up looking for minor details too. Shoe or sock colour. Closed helmet or open.
Riding style & cadence. Froome's elbows!
Yate's pedal dancing

For my formative cycling fan years, it was the 1 hour highlights on Channel 4 in the UK. I felt I learned a lot from that, but also thought I would not find watching the whole stage interesting.
How wrong I was. That's when I really learned the nuances of the sport.
First 30 fan years were just TdF

I used to like it when Team Sky had the riders names on the jersey.

INEOS Grenadiers confirms Tom Pidcock will be leaving the team

When we start to get posts like this from @ineosgrenadiers.bsky.social or @ineos-grenadiers.bsky.social (or whatever the official account is), we might gain momentum:

I'm putting it down to the off-season. A few commentators/presenters have joined recently, so they have a foot in the camp now.
I think momentum will only grow at pace when teams, riders, races join. (I was kind of hoping that Bluesky might be discussed at winter training camps 🀞)
