I get surprised every time someone in UK TIN recognises me. I think I'm incredibly invisible, but then people are really lovely 🥰 It's super nice

The willingness to organise/manage other people and the stuff that an organisation needs to run trumps allllllll of that. Most people with reputation, portfolio, etc. suck at organising themselves let alone anyone else, and would really like someone else to do it.

Depends on the group and the game for me! A lot of it depends on how much of the action bleeds outside the session: my PbtA/FitD group talks a lot more between games, partly because we're managing downtimes but also because we have a lot of feelings! My D&D group not so much.

This is not caused primarily by "screen time".

It's been caused by the mass eradication of third places for young people in basically every city over the past three decades - and a society that's hostile to the concept of teens socialising in public spaces.
