On August 12, 2017, a group of right-wing extremists gathered in Virginia, to oppose the removal of a statue of Lee. This painting depicts the moment when a neo-Nazi activist drove his car into a crowd, killing counter-demonstrator Heather Heyer.
This painting is a tribute to her.

Every now and then, I paint a pet portrait. This family cat, who was named Smudge, had personality issues. One moment, he could be purring happily, and the next moment he might bite your leg. He earned the knick name "Evil Cat."
I painted him as a vampire cat. I think he would have liked this!

Here is a look at my studio . The first painting is titled "Kamala Harris, Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera." The second painting is titled "Eleanor Roosevelt." The third painting is unfinished , as I am still working on it.

Sara Mahmoud Alsheif is an Egyptian woman and political activist who marched with her baby at Tahrir Square for democracy and women suffrage and worked/works as a journalist and Editor Manager in Egypt.

We have seen the effects of Climate change this last week, as people experience heat waves across the planet.

On June 14, a gunman shot Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette and killed state representative Melissa Hartman and her husband Mark.
My heart goes out to their friends and family.

Ms. Roosevelt was the longest serving First Lady, worked with the UN to create the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and promoted Civil Rights.
I think she would have celebrated this month, if given the chance.
