Lots of media coverage about the huge number of anti-migrant protests happening this weekend. It's obviously worrying but perspective is important. Across all the demos that happened today there were probably fewer than 1000 protestors combined. It's not a national outpouring.

And thanks for the reminder that England isn't the UK. Helpful.

The article says that people are putting up Union Jacks and the cross of St George. So its clearly mainly focusing on England. But we have evidence of the campaign spreading to Wales and Scotland so said across the UK. Also, the 'army of patriots' is a quote by the Daily Mail.
