Update:
My mum had surgery yesterday and is in recovery now. Hopefully this will be the last health scare for a long while. 🤞

I will be back this evening around 7pm CST and we’ll try to finish Silent Hill 2 Remake. Sorry for the brief break!

My mum is okay for now, on IV fluids and getting tested so we can try & find out what’s wrong. Her dog is with my sister & is okay too. The most I ask, if anybody minds, is to keep her in your thoughts if you have room for it. I really appreciate it and will keep doing my best as well. Thanks.

Rather, taking it in stride a moment at a time and being there for her when she needs me is my priority. Being a firm and stable rock that can be relied upon.

Between cancer last year & a bacterial infection in her knee this year that she nearly passed from, I’ve seen the ambulance enough times that if I let myself panic every time, I would have lost it a long time ago. It’s better to try and not let fear consume my thoughts, as that helps no one.

As for why I came back and tried to remain chipper in spite of the circumstances, it boils down to the fact that my mum’s health has not been great for a while now.

She had a doctors appointment booked, but was told by a doctor that had her on IV fluids to go to the ER if it was getting too bad, so that’s exactly what she did. She just needed me to watch the dog until my sister could pick it up (she also has a dog, so can care for it better than I can).
