Washington Post exclusive headline says "U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify swastikas, nooses as hate symbols. The military service, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security, has drafted a new policy that classifies such items “potentially divisive.”

This is appalling.

I think part of what we’re seeing with the backlash on the right against Trump is that he’s now being seen more and more as part of the establishment, which is very different than his first term.

This is not necessarily a good thing, as it’s becoming clear the alternative may be even worse.

Why not?

It's hard to focus on extremists without sounding as whacky as they do, but I am convinced that it isn't a coincidence that Kasparian and Fuentes have come out with very similar talking points, both centered around the same topic within days of each other.

Lest you think it sounds silly or he has no actual space to succeed here, he has been laying the groundwork of propagandizing to the anti-Zionist left since Oct 7th.

It is a cruel, Orwellian joke that the people who most advocated for the hostages to stay in bondage to advance a genocidal war are the same people who take credit for supporting them.

I literally thought it was an allegory for AI until I read that he said it wasn't.

It's amazing that Gilligan wasn't thinking of AI when he wrote Pluribus since the hivemind so accurately displays how ChatGPT & others interact with users.

It makes sense, though. In both cases, the goal is complete placation to hook, with the real goal being to use us for the larger system itself.
