Welcome to another spooky edition of Kyla's Kitchen!
Today we're taking another ritual from the Necronomnomnom, making the Grape Old Wons!
These wontons are meant to look like creepy eyes, but they mostly just look yummy!
I made chicken & a few pork ones but anything works!

Post image White Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Bones!
1. Melt peanut butter and combine with butter and icing sugar until it forms a sticky cookie dough.
2. Dust a surface with icing sugar and dust your hands too in order to help handling the dough.
3. Coat pretzel sticks in the dough and roll four little dough balls to attach on the ends for that classic bone shape, then place in the freezer for a few hours.
4. Melt some white chocolate and toss your chilled bones in it, then return to the freezer to set the chocolate hard.

Just wanted to let folks know I'm going through a rough time, so I've struggled to post for the last couple weeks.
I've been looking forward to doing some Halloween recipes for months though, so I won't rob myself of that joy! Kyla's Spooky Kitchen every weekend in October.

Excellent suggestion! The customisability is great with this dish, I like it a bit spicier while my partner likes it mild and topped with avocado & coriander!

Post image Taco Rice!
1. Grill some onions, tomatoes and capsicums then toss em in a blender. 
2. In a pan brown some beef mince in a pan with more onion, capsicum and corn. 
3. Pour in your blended salsa, some chicken stock, and some rice. Cover the pan and let the rice cook for about 20 minutes, stirring part way through so it doesn't stick to the bottom.
4. Serve with your toppings of choice!

Today Mouldy and I visited a pop culture collectors gallery!
They had a huge variety of statues and figures from movies, anime, games and more!
I don't know where we'd even put stuff like this in the house but I wanted so many things!

Sharky and I ventured under the Ruby Sea and visited Sui-no-Sato!
The beautiful Hingan architecture next to the coral and marine life is quite a sight to see!
But Sharky came across a sight he didn't like so much, so we didn't stay long...

I DO leave it to the spirits a bit more than I should to be honest, but baking is a bit more precise so for any interested:

Pastry cream
500g milk
4 egg yolk
20g sugar
80g butter
200g chocolate
Dash of vanilla

Dacquoise
150g hazelnuts blitzed
100g flour
9 egg white
Dash of vanilla and salt

1. Spread hazelnuts on a baking sheet and toast them for about 20 minutes, shift them half way through to ensure they toast evenly.
2. Crush half of the nuts for decorating the cake and blitz the other half and combine them with flour.
3. Separate the yolks of 9 eggs and beat the whites, then fold the nut flour into the egg white to make a dacquoise batter.
4. Pour the batter into a wide low profile pan and bake, meanwhile take the yolks you separated earlier, combine in a pot with sugar, butter, milk, vanilla and chocolate, simmer until it thickens.
5. Allow the mixture and the dacquoise to cool completely and let set in the fridge for a few hours
6. Take your dacquoise and cut then in half both ways so you have 4 equal sized sponges. Layer the sponges and the pastry cream then coat the whole beast in it. Top with crushed hazelnuts and enjoy!

Michelle Ruff is fantastic, and I've enjoyed the dubs on the Atelier games very much so far! I'm working my way through the Dusk trilogy at the moment and I can't wait to get to Shallie as Sarah Anne Williams plays a lead character and she is one of my favs!

My personal favourites would be the original verisons of Persona 3, his minor role in Skullgirls as a parasitic worm in the brain of the zombie girl Squiggly, Mana Khemia where he's actually the protagonist, and the Nintendo DS remake of FF4 where he plays Kain, brings so much gravitas to the role!

As I was riding my majestic flying shark through costa del sol something caught his eye!
What appeared to be a kindred flying shark sadly was naught but the signage for an establishment known AS "The Flying Shark"
My sharky was sad, but the foods good!

Today I got a part time job working as a life guard at the Moonfire Faire!
It was fun at first, getting to boss around pool goers!
But then things escalated quickly! I spied a poor soul drowning! In a thunderstorm! While being attacked by a shark!

Today I went to Costa Del Sol to celebrate this years Moonfire Faire!
They went all out this year, decorating a whole ship with a pool on the deck!
I enjoyed a yummy shaved ice & rode the slide 100 times!
When I was too tired to continue I lounged upon this adorable moogle floatie!

2. In a large mixing bowl combine chicken mince with your blended ingredients and season well.
3. Crack an egg into the mix and combine by hand, adding a bit of bread crumbs and cheese as you go.
4. Roll into balls and air fry or bake on a sheet pan.
5. Serve with tooth picks and dippies!
