Actors entirely livelihood is based on being seen by people- it's logical to seize an opportunity most actors will never see in their entire career.
Sam's spent a LOT of money to try and get the show recognized by a larger, less online audience- sounds like he didn't have to spend any for this.
Oof I can see the logic in this but I fear a lot of the Dropout fanbase won't.
In their defense the 'prestige' of television ain't what it used to be and even if this a moment Dropout cast members have been dreaming of their whole careers this weirdly feels like a step down.

I think the only aspect of this take that's hot is the fact that you're making it a blanket statement. Sprite art would technically fall under your definition here. If you look at other mediums you could include black and white film as a technical limitation.
