I just read about the Getty exhibit after your repost. I'm totally flabbergasted because I was in L.A. in February and March and did NOT know about it! But it's my good fortune that I've seen a lot of his work, including Floor scrapers, Man drying his leg, Paris, a rainy day and the Boating Party.

You reposted a Caillebotte but comments was turned off by the original post. I only felt the need to say that I am so moved by Caillebotte's work I have to catch my breath sometimes. He really never got enough attention.

He's under WHERE???

This was the car my dad went out and bought right after I was born to drive from California to Mississippi to show me off to my mom's family. And yup, I'm turning fricken' 70 next month!! His next car was a 58 Thunderbird, which remained my dream ride for life.

I walked the bridge at dawn on her 50th birthday. 50,000 expected, 350,000 showed up. Not a great experience for a claustrophobe, but a memorable one. She is lovely, so of course loved more than the event planners imagined.
