I used FeMaler as the title for a Vitrine installation in Berlin in 2020. Since then, I have kept eight sheet
parts of it in my studio.
Starting in August, I will be working on the previously printed sheets again.

Dank je wel. Jij ook een goed weekend.

Zomaar een willekeurige bladzijde: boek 1 blz.28 geschreven op 18.6.21 Zomaar ergens begonnen in 2020 met een boek met notities, tekeningen en schrijfsels. Inmiddels werk ik ik boek 5. Hoe houdt iedereen zich toch staande? Wat is de drijfveer daarachter? Eerst het hoe dan wat, het waarom hobbelt erachteraan. Omdat het waarom te achterhalen is. Biologisch, sociaal en de organisatiestructuren. Maar het wat is denk ik verbonden met het hoe, omdat het hoe is af te lezen, te zien, zintuigelijk waar te nemen en dat verklaart al het een en ander over het wat. Dus hoe maak je het wat zichtbaar. Hester Scheurwater laat dit zien met haar naakten en voedt hiermee de discussie over de onvrijheden van vrouwen wat hun lichaam betreft. Niet alleen hun lichaam trouwens. <<previous Alt Ik zit bij de elektrische draad en kijk vanuit het bos het bos in. Mijn positie is beschermd. Achter mij staat een huis en familie. Zo hou ik me staande. Elk wezen om mij heen doet precies hetzelfde. Elk individu weet zich? Een gemeenschap. De eiken de muizen, zwijnen insecten, varens, migrantenplanten moeten zich invechten. Hebben ze geluk, goede grond, goed licht, water en weinig vijanden, dan lukt het om een nieuwe gemeenschap op te bouwen. Voor hoelang? Als de pleuris uitbreekt in de vorm van plagen, noodweer, vraatzucht, of vroegtijdig sterven dan is de vraag vanuit het individu niet ‘oh maar wat gebeurt er met mijn hele soort dan?’ Het individu denkt enkel aan zichzelf en aan zijn directe donoren. De voorrede van de Decamerone van Giovanni Boccaccio verhaalt hierover. Het is 1348. De pest breekt uit in Florence, nee hij heeft er huisgehouden. De manieren om je staande te houden daar gaat het hele boek over. Ik ga me nu niet afvragen hoe je dat tekent. Het tekenen als handeling is genoeg. Wat is dat eigenlijk, Tekenen!

De ruwe handgeschreven tekst is hier overgenomen uit het schrijf_teken_boek zonder verbeteringen.Dit 'achter de gedachten aanschrijven' is niet los van de tekening te zien. Deze overgenomen tekst en geeft een inkijk in de 'achterkant' van het uiteindelijke werk wat op zich het kunstwerk is. Zomaar een willekeurig gekozen bladzijde: 20.6.21 boek 1 blz.1.29 Bestaat er eigenlijk een achterkant in de natuur? Onzinnige vraag, de voor- en achterkant is een typisch menselijke uitvinding. Een gevolg van het willen bepalen, het zicht op de voorkant zou er beter uit mieten zien. Dus weet je tenminste vanuit welke positie je vertrekt om te bepalen wat een voorkant is. 'het' moet niet gaan bewegen! Of toch wel dieren hebben een achterkant en een voorkant. De achterkant is de uitgang en de voorkant; daar gaat het eten naar binnen. Wij zijn de doorloopstal voor alles wat via de voorkant naar binnen gaat. Maar nu de boom. Geen achter en voorkant dus maar een boven en onderkant. De voedselstromen en lichtstromen lopen heen en weer. De boom neemt rondom op en zend uit. Geen achter en voorkant dus. Dit klopt ook weer niet, het gaat om de boven en onderkant. Ah, ik ben eruit: zwaartekracht. Maar daar ging het me on eerste instantie niet om. Wij mensen werken met achterkanten en voorkanten (de back office en de front office) in een tuin, de onze heeft in ieder geval een duidelijke kant. De plek vanwaaruit een tuin wordt bekeken hangt af van je positie of beweging in je tuin.Vanuit een bepaald standpunt is een boom 'mooi'. Het decor en de zichtlijnen en de plek vanwaaruit, bepaalt dat. Vorm of patroon daarom is een bol of een roset zo rustgevend en aangenaam (nier per sé voor mij). De achterkant hoe teken je dat? Hetgeen buiten het zicht blijft. Het VERMOEDEN.

boek 2 blz.2.23 8 april 2023 De tekening is er al. Een vlinder kwam net op de kleur af. Schrijven was niet nodig. Teveel afleiding hier in het bos. Bijen, vlinders, ronkende motoren in de verte, schreeuwende toeristen op de fiets. Ogenschijnlijk staat alles stil, is er niets anders te zien dan bomen, struiken, bosbes en het iele tuinierspul. De grond, alles in de grond en in de stammen, achter de schors staat in de wachtstand. Het is nog koud 's nachts. Enkel het kunstmatig ingebrachte staat te bloeien alsof de plek en het seizoen er geen reet toe doet. Fortsytia, narcissen, blauwe druif. Maar toch ook hondsdraf en paardebloem. Andere bloeiers, niet voor het oog maar voor het oor, zijn de vogels. Het begin van het jaarlijkse voortplantingsritueel. De tekening startte met paars violet, een associatie met een vlinder voordat de citroenmelisse vlinder op mijn mouw landde. Daarna werd de tekening met voelsprieten onderzocht. Alle narcissen laat de vlinder staan, op zoek naar eigen voer. Hondsdraf! Op zoek ook naar mijn fascinatie. anti symmetrie. Terwijl symmetrie overal voorkomt in de natuur (en ook in de vensterbanken). Hermann Rorschach had het niet zelf verzonnen. Klecksografie was al vóór 1921 Hot als poëtisch onderzoeksmateriaal. Justinus Kerner en Alfred Binet werkten ermee in de 19e eeuw. En Franz Kline zocht naar de verborgen a-symmetrie.

Zomaar ergens begonnen in 2020 met een boek met notities, tekeningen en schrijfsels.
Inmiddels werk ik ik boek 5.

Middle East crisis live: Israel security cabinet approves plan to take over Gaza City amid reports of disagreements with military The announcement comes after Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel intended to take full control of Gaza and hand over the territory’s governance to friendly Arab forces Welcome to our live coverage of the Israel-Gaza war. Benjamin Netanyahu’s office says Israel’s security cabinet has approved a plan to take over Gaza City after he earlier said the country planned to take full control of the Palestinian territory. Before the security cabinet meeting, Netanyahu was asked on Fox News if Israel would “take control of all of Gaza” and he replied: “We intend to, in order to assure our security, remove Hamas there, enable the population to be free of Gaza.” “We don’t want to keep it. We want to have a security perimeter,” Netanyahu said. “We want to hand it over to Arab forces that will govern it properly without threatening us and giving Gazans a good life.” Israeli media reported that Netanyahu was hoping to obtain approval for fully controlling Gaza at the security cabinet meeting, the plan would mean sending ground troops into the few areas of the strip that have not been totally destroyed – roughly 25% of the territory where many of its 2 million people have sought refuge. Israel is reportedly preparing a two-phase operation aimed at seizing control of Gaza City, with plans to evacuate about 1 million residents – half of Gaza’s population – in what officials describe as a temporary measure to establish civilian infrastructure in central Gaza. The proposal is being framed as a limited operation rather than a full invasion, apparently to placate military chiefs wary of long-term occupation, according to Israel’s Channel 12. The chief of staff, Lt Gen Eyal Zamir, has reportedly warned that occupying Gaza would plunge Israel into a “black hole” of prolonged insurgency, humanitarian responsibility and heightened risk to hostages. At least 42 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes and shootings across southern Gaza on Thursday, according to local hospitals. Of the 42, at least 13 were seeking aid in an Israeli military zone in southern Gaza where UN aid convoys are regularly overwhelmed by looters and desperate crowds. The World Health Organization said on Thursday that 99 people were known to have died from malnutrition in Gaza this year and the figure was probably an underestimate, amid famine warnings from UN agencies. The families of the roughly 20 remaining living hostages held in Gaza have called for Israelis to protest against the government and a decision they fear would endanger the lives of their loved ones. After returning from artist in residence in Spain I decided to continue with the series: Inner moves in the studio in The Hague. podcasts I listen to that are now not connected to the individual drawings with words in the drawings. The first one excepted. 'What is a woman' it says in the first of this series. Together, the sheets of paper were part of an installation in a display case at a Berlin subway station in 2020. Coming to a form expressing a movement of a figure a being a character a role player actor from the wings of memory. evoked by the director of chance. So I am the one who has a director in the house but I don't have much control over that directing factor. however, I am able to elaborate on the drawing as far as possible. my refinements I tackle like embroidery. Lines with markers and areas with paint. Iedereen schildert een eigen stukje Haagse Beeldentuin. Vooraf hebben ze gekeken naar buitenbeelden en hebben we gepraat over wat openbare ruimte eigenlijk is.

Buiten tekenen

Een beeld maken voor een fantasie tuin.

Alle tuinen komen straks samen. Ze kunnen verplaatsen en steeds zijn er dan andere verbindingen.

Op 30 april gaf ik voor Art-S-Cool een workshop aan een BSO in de Schilderswijk.
Zóóooveel talent zit hier.
En evenzoveel plezier in het experimenteren en proberen.
