Could Tim Walz go from teaching history to being part of it? Former classmates and colleagues talk about the teacher and coach who went into politics and is now believed to be on Kamala Harris’s short list for a running mate.

It’s not every day a former public school teacher ends up on a presidential ticket.

But for the students and teachers who crossed paths with Tim Walz during his decade of teaching, it’s easy to look back now and see the signs that he could find himself in exactly that position.

I first met Joe Biden when I was in high school. He crossed a room full of donors and Pennsylvania bigwigs, including then-Governor Ed Rendell, to talk to the only kid in the room, for like ten minutes. He also likes sharks and encouraged me to continue becoming a scientist.

Thank you, sir.

Entire Edition Of Newspapers Stolen On Day It Publishes Story About Rape At Police Chief’s Home β€œIt’s pretty clear that someone didn’t want the community to read the news this week,” said Ouray County Plaindealer co-publisher Erin McIntyre.

Hundreds of copies of newspapers in a Colorado town were stolen a day after the paper published a story about an alleged rape at the police chief’s house

Really distressing to see how many people aren’t paying attention to scientific updates to taxonomic nomenclature.

Stingrays haven’t been called β€œsea flap flaps” in years. Now they are called β€œcharismatic pancakes of wonder”.

In Arizona, declining water levels on the Colorado River have allowed invasive plants to take over a riverside once full of native trees

This year, the Cocopah Tribe’s Environment Protection Office cut the ribbon on a project to restore land along the river to what it looked like decades ago:
