There isn't enough whimy in the modern world, a real dirth of magic and mystery. We're like teenagers, we've outgrown the esoteric mysteries of our societal youth, but haven't found what wondrous things replace it, not yet. Maybe that's what's making us so susceptible to melancholy and materialism.

The Israeli court system has dropped the charges against the nine Israeli reservists that raped a Palestinian on camera. These are unaccountable concentration camps that Israel is running, this is grotesque. Imagine if Jordan or Turkey did this to a Jewish person they'd illegally imprisoned?
Second Thought is a great channel. Not high level stuff, but its a very digestible view of the socialist project.

The vessel was unarmed in Indian waters for training exercises thsy were invited to. They weren't seeking refuge, India was obligated to provide protection and America was obligated not to attack a noncombatant vessel. Neither fufilled their obligations. Who runs this paper, Ben Shapiro?

Two thirds of the way through writing the manuscript for my most recent book, We Were Kids. Its a war piece in a near future science fiction setting. Originally meant to be a play on Shock and Awe and the longterm ineffectivness of Operation Iraqi Freedom, though I guess it just became more relevant

Just to be clear, supporting an illegal war isn't patriotism, its imperialism. Twenty years from now everyone will have been against the Iran War. Just like Iraq, Afghanistan, and on and on.

Imperialism wears many faces. But, under the surface they're all the same.
They didn't just do nothing. They tacitly approved. Look at the response from most EU countries (aside from Spain notably). Justifying the illegal attacks and propping up American and Israeli actions.
They didn't ding a car. A man is dead, a man that would be alive if not for their actions. Something tells me we wouldn't be having this conversation if these kids had been pranking their Doctor or Dentist.
As a teacher, uh, what the fuck? These kids murdered him.. what the fuck are you talking about, dropping charges, for murdering this poor man? Sick.
