help her when she’s there. They actually have even offered me free coffee and food🤣 although I’m the type of person that doesn’t really seek reward in helping others so I respectfully declined. The reason I’m writing this is just a nice little story that’s happened in the past week -

After I walked her back she tried to pay me for helping her which I obviously declined. I walked into the cafe to let the staff know that I brought her back safely. They all started clapping and were so grateful as the place was so busy and they clearly have a soft spot for the lady and regularly-

I waited for her until she got sorted at the bank and a lot of people thought I was her grandson🤣 She had a nice witty banter and told me she had been going to that cafe for so many years.

and I was happy to help. The lady linked on to my arm and reminded me so much of my grandparents, who are no longer with me. She was so kind but mentioned she felt like a burden for taking the time from my day. I told her not to worry at all and that I was happy to help her.

She introduced me to a little old lady who had difficulty walking and needed someone to help her walk around to the bank. The lady at the cafe explained to me that the workers usually help her as she’s a regular, but the cafe was so busy that morning. I had 2 hours before I started work anyway -
