It’s been a long time, but when I was little I really liked Pokémon, around when Gen1 and Gen2 were new.

Netflix is dropping its bid for Warner Bros., meaning Paramount’s bid is now unopposed. The presumption is that Warner Bros. will go to Paramount/Skydance.

This means the MonsterVerse, like all of WB’s properties, will be owned by a pro-fascist family, and that is not something I’ll support.

I really wasn’t sure, I haven’t seen it in a long time, and the fact they redesigned the snakes to look more like their real-world counterparts cast some doubt in my mind!

This was originally the second of two comments— in the first I asked if you thought Boa vs Python was actually a crossover of Boa and Python, then I did a cursory search, found it was, felt like a moron, and deleted the first comment.

But to answer your question… I guess Tremors 4? If for no other reason than I like Tremors 4 and nothing else is coming to me?

It did strike me watching it that there’s something decidedly non-lucid about its content. It feels like it overshoots ineptitude into full-blown surreality.

If held to the same standard as studio movies, it probably is the worst I’ve seen, but I find thinking of it as more of a home movie that went to video helps (in a way, that’s kind of what it is). For better or worse, it’s strictly unprofessional.

Not really, it just looks like it between the ugly appearance and toilet placement. They’ve got blood like raspberry gushers!

It’s a hard movie to take unironically, to say the least!

I have experienced Things (1989) for the first time.

That was an experience, all right.

It feels willful, like they have evil intentions here and I can’t figure out what they are. No way in hell they’re just this dense.

The original’s the best, but I have to admit that Critters 2 is the one I’ve always had the most affection for. Lots of puppets, loads of fun. And it’s a rare Easter horror movie!

Blade is the most popular puppet, he’s the one in most of the promotional material, but the puppets don’t really have a leader besides their “master”, which is whoever reanimates them from their sleep (they’re human souls in puppet bodies animated by a potion derived from spinal fluid/brain tissue).

For whatever reason, I find fine-tuning lighting and polish and color balance easier on my laptop, I can see it better there. I think it has less to do with photoshop than my display distance— on my laptop I see the forest; on my tablet I see the trees.
