Then last night was a rewatch of Ready or Not. This movie is *technically* horror, but it's just as much a dark comedy thriller. Full of people you can't wait to see die horribly, this film doesn't hold back and has one of the most satisfyingly funny endings along with Weapons.

Then last night I rewatched Christine, from 1983. The effects hold up well, as does the overall story. But the film suffers from some very odd edits and jumps in time. The movie felt like it was 3 hours cut down to less than two with continuity as a secondary concern.

I missed a few nights, but on Monday we watched What We Do In The Shadows again, which was still amazing, but weirdly not as funny as I remember it being. Still the best line: "If you're going to eat a sandwich, you'd just enjoy it more if you knew no one had fucked it".

I was fortunate enough to be invited to speak at Highline College yesterday for #IndigenousPeoplesDay, and I gave a new presentation called Decolonizing Your Gaming. Its positive reception has really inspired me and I have some fun ideas that will grow from this.

Also, while I'm happy hostages and prisoners have been released, I'm now concerned that Israel will simply find any excuse (or create one) to negate the ceasefire and return to the genocide without pressure from the parties who were concerned about the hostages.

I find it odd (no, I don't; it's entirely what I expected) that I keep reading/hearing, "There's a ceasefire!" "There's a start to a ceasefire!" "The war is over!" alongside headlines like, "5 Gazans killed by IDF for crossing a line." Those are all very different and conflicting things.

Every time an educator tells me they used Coyote & Crow Games in their class and had a great response or when a student emails me and says they're doing a paper on C&C and can they ask me some questions, or when a Native shares art of their OC, I know I'm going to make it through the day.

There's so much I want to do. I want to work on C&C projects, other tabletop games, an HZD TTRPG, a new sci-fi RPG. My brain is filled with ideas.

But it's so hard to focus enough to get them out onto the page, to develop them, when I'm continually fearing for my life and future.

Need a PS5 rec. I tend to like open worlds, 3rd person, custom cvharacters and complex storytelling. Lean more sci-fi than fantasy. I love Horizon Zero Dawn, Mass Effect, Alien Isolation, Control, Bioshock, LoU2. Just tried Hell Is Us and it wasn't for me.

Looking for new/newer titles.
