86% of 18-24 year olds want to rejoin the EU
A Deltapoll survey for The Mirror found that 86% of 18-24 year olds want to rejoin the EU. It is time for the Government to listen; young people are the future.
12.01.2026 16:05 β π 197 π 96 π¬ 8 π 6Brexit was not only costly to the UK, it also forced EU member states to spend money on border infrastructure that wasn't needed before.
It's a reminder why the EU is cautious about the UK.
Also, we need to replace FPTP with Proportional Representation!

Single market participation means facing free movement and rule-taking honestly, making the national interest case that free movement supports growth and addresses skills shortages while restoring the right to work and study across the 31 single market countries, and explaining that the UK already follows many EU rules without influence so membership would unlock the full benefits and a clearer route to input.
Freedom of movement would open up cultural and professional opportunities for millions of people in the UK. It is in our national interest to participate in the single market.

New presidency, new look!
Cyprus has officially taken over the presidency of the Council of the EU!
Each country holds the presidency once every 13Β½ years. This helps ensure the smooth running of the EU.

Critics argue that the ECHR stops us from being able to deport illegal migrants. In reality, in 75 years the ECHR has only ruled against the UK in 13 cases out of 500k: 0.000026%. The ECHR is being used a scapegoat for domestic challenges, and we must defend it.

Brexit is holding back one of the UKβs strongest creative exports, with musicians paying the price for Brexit through cancelled tours and lost work. We are calling for a reciprocated agreement and a review of the restrictions on how many days an artist and support workers can work in the EU.

Like Brexit, leaving the ECHR would inflict great damage on Britain and its people
After avoiding the subject for so long, in just one week three senior Government ministers have confirmed how damaging Brexit has been to our economy.

Dominic Grieve is right. Leaving the European Convention on Human Rights would be a reckless act of self-harm, breaking security ties, breaching international law, and weakening Britainβs standing while doing nothing to solve the problems this government pretends to fix.
